Kettlebell Training
IN THE BEGINNING
Initial kettlebell training requires patience and concentration. Using perfect technique becomes a habit; unfortunately, poor technique can also become a habit that can lead to injury. However, once the techniques become habitual, there are limitless routines that can be performed…most of which take less than 30 minutes. As your conditioning and strength improve, so do your training options.
Initial kettlebell training is done individually or in either small groups of four or less so that maximum supervision can be utilized in correcting technique and establishing proper habit patterns. Kettlebell training can be done in larger groups once a basic proficiency has been established for the basic exercises. Group training brings many benefits of comraderie and competition. Many people enjoy not only challenging their own limits, but also enjoy the bonding that takes place as people attempt to improve their fitness level.
For those wanting to improve health and fitness, utilizing many different movements can achieve a total body workout in minimal time. For those with specific fitness goals (ie triathletes, powerlifters, football players, etc) routines are sport specific to meet the needs of the athlete.
DavidCohnKettlebells will design a plan for you. If you are looking to rehabilitate an injury or series of injuries or if you are planning on riding in the El Tour de Tucson, adding some consistency and distance to your golf game, or perhaps you are preparing for the upcoming High School or college football season, whatever athletic endeavor you pursue, DavidCohnKettlebells can prepare you to perform at your best.
THE RKC
Kettlebells are for all ages and sizes. I have trained clients who are as young as 14 up to those who are in their 80’s. Because one does not train with a dramatically heavy weights (although that is certainly possible with proper progression), kettlebell training can benefit anyone and everyone who receives professional grade instruction. There are a lot of RKC imitators out there; but there is only one way and one place to become a Russian Kettlebell Challenge Instructor, and that is attending and passing the course taught by Pavel Tsatsoline. As Pavel says: “Practice does NOT make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.”
